Water Research Community 2026

The University of Manchester will host the Water Research Community (WRC) on Friday, 9 January 2026.

This is a bi-annual event is organised by the Saudi Water Authority. WRC aims to bring together all stakeholders in water industry to work towards tackling the biggest challenges in the sector, globally. The current version is hosted by the University of Manchester and held in collaboration with leading institutions in water technologies and advanced research, with organisational support from the Saudi Students Club in Manchester.

This special event targets an elite group of specialists and international researchers in the water sector, with the participation of representatives from public and private organisations and companies operating in the water sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The event aims to showcase the latest challenges, scientific developments, and innovations in the water sector, highlight key research challenges and future opportunities, enhance scientific collaboration between students, researchers, and relevant stakeholders, and support initiatives that contribute to the development of innovative and sustainable solutions for the water sector.

The event invites students, researchers, professionals and all those interested in water-related fields in the United Kingdom to participate, submit their research proposals and presentations, and engage in scientific discussions that contribute to building a sustainable future for the water sector.
